After two weeks of the transfer window opening up, there have been some interesting moves that have taken place all across the nation.
Starting off with the opening week and the movement of Ceri Hughes who for 450 thousand pounds is heading to the top division with Norwich being his team of choice from Luton Town. Another interesting move comes from Mark Stein who will be heading to Liverpool from Stoke with the price being 300 thousand pounds.
On the flip side of that, the losers of the first week have to be the Southend club who lost four players to other divisions. Those players being Andy Anash (Luton Town, 300 thousand), Christian Hyslop (Charlton, 100 thousand), Andy Edwards (Aston Villa, 100 thousand) and Paul Smith (Bradford, 60 thousand). Derek Allen was another of the big movers as he went to the third division side Scarborough for only forty thousand from Southampton.
Week 1 was Ceri Hughes week as he went for 450 thousand pounds.
If Week 1 was quiet, Week 2 was different with two players going over the million pounds to be signed. The first being Gavin Johnson as he went to Manchester United from Ipswich for 1.5 million pounds which is currently the biggest transfer of the window. Adrian Littlejohn isn't far behind though as he went to Everton for 1.1 million from his former club in Sheffield United. They also got Craig Forrest from Ipswich for 450 thousand. Terry Fleming is one player who won't be seen in the top division as he went down to the third division and his club being Bristol Rovers as he was sold for 100 thousand from Coventry.
Gavin Johnson will be in Manchester United colours after the 1.5 million price tag.
Highest Bids so far.
